Remember to Forget

I began writing Remember to Forget on Wattpad, which is a popular website to create and read stories of any genre. I started the story in April of 2014 at the age of 15. Once a week, I would update flatcover-rememberon Wattpad, where my readers could comment and message me. I quickly gained a large following of very excited, supportive teen readers. Remember to Forget currently has over 15 million reads on Wattpad and won the 2014 Watty Award.

Remember to Forget focuses on 17-year-old Levi Harrison, who stops speaking after the tragic death of his girlfriend Delia. Levi falls into a depression and is constantly upset. His parents decide it will benefit him to move from Australia to live with his dad in America, hoping something positive will come of the change. Moving causes more struggles, since Levi does not have a very close relationship with his dad. But while in America, Levi begins to meet new people, one of which is Delilah. Delilah constantly reminds him of Delia, which may not be a bad thing after all. With the help of Delilah, her younger sister Lucy, a close circle of friends, and some Skittles, Levi tries to return to who he once was.

This book is recommended for ages 12 and up. It shares a positive message of hope and strength, as well as connecting to teenagers’ struggles, such as anxiety and relationships. As readers follow Levi’s experiences, they will feel a rollercoaster of emotions: anger, happiness, sadness, frustration. Levi’s emotions will be felt as though readers are along on his journey to happiness. My readers often tell me how much my book has helped them through their own problems and how deeply they connected with Levi. I hope you enjoy Remember to Forget and that you can also connect to it in someway. Making a difference for my readers is the main reason I continue to write, and I hope you can pass along my story.
