Where Is Your Favorite Place To Read On Warm Summer Days?

Summer is HERE! Curious of where our BLINK authors love to spend their time reading over the summer? We have got the answers!

Lorie Langdon: My front porch curled in a cozy chair with the wind chimes blowing in the breeze.

Denise Grover Swank: Is it cheating if I say the beach? Reading on the beach is perfect.

Jonathan Friesen: Okay, confession. I don’t read on warm, summer days. I’m fishing or hiking or mowing on days like that. I read during wintertime, and since this is not a winter post, I won’t bother you with where I read when the snow falls.

Luke Reynolds: Toes in sand. Or bare feet on grass.

Carol Lynch Williams: It gets pretty hot here in Utah during the summer. I actually love to read in bed, before anyone is awake. And I’ll read late at night after everyone has gone to bed. I’ll read until I can’t my eyes open anymore.

We’ll have more summer fun with some of your favorite authors next week! Stay tuned…

Summer Fun With BLINK Authors

We are having a little fun this summer and asking some of our BLINK authors to share  their favorite summer memories, vacation spots, and more.

Check back weekly for a new update from the BLINK family!

What is your favorite vacation spot during the summer?

Lorie Langdon:

Indian Rocks Beach, Florida! It’s a little beach town on the gulf with everything we need within walking distance, including Lighthouse Donuts – their coconut cream donut is to die for!

Jonathan Friesen:

Maine. Camden, Maine to be exact. I love that town. Ocean breezes, classy lighthouses, fresh seafood … nothing better.

Luke Reynolds:

Anywhere with a mountain peak in sight!

Evangeline Denmark:

The Rocky Mountains

Denise Grover Swank:

The beach! I love sand between my toes and the sound of the ocean waves.

Carol Lynch Williams:

Back in the old days, when I was a kid, it was always by the water. I grew up in Florida and spent a lot of time in the lake where we lived. I also went to my grandmother’s house. Nana would let me come and stay with her every summer. She’d take me to the library and I was allowed to check out as many books as I could read.

This is a favorite memory. Being with my grandmother, her with her stack of romance novels and me with all of my books. It’s funny because when I remember back on those events all we did was read together. Now that I’m in Utah, my favorite vacation spot is anywhere away from a telephone. I’m completely happy to be propped up any old place with a good book.
